Brewers news and notes. First of All... The Brewers have been alone or at least tied for first place every day since 4/5. Last night’s win brought the Brewers’ all-time record at new Busch Stadium to 37-37.....the Brewers are the only team in the NL Central with at least a .500 record all-time at this ballpark. Brewers starting pitchers are 6-2 with a 1.81 ERA over the last 11 games with 10 quality starts (74.2ip, 15er).....their 71 quality starts on the season trail only the Braves (76) in the NL.....their 45 wins tie the Reds for second in the NL, trailing only the Dodgers (52). With his 13th win of the season last night in St. Louis, Wily Peralta tied Clayton Kershaw (LA), Adam Wainwright (StL) and Max Scherzer (Det) for the most victories in the Major Leagues in 2014. With his 32nd save of the season last night, Francisco Rodriguez tied Craig Kimbrel (Atl) and Trevor Rosenthal (StL) for the Major League lead. Francisco Rodriguez (336) ranks 12th on the all-time Major League saves list..... he has passed Jeff Montgomery (304), Hall of Famer Goose Gossage (310), Tom Henke (311), Robb Nen (314), Rick Aguilera (318), Todd Jones (319), Jose Mesa (321), Roberto Hernandez (326), Francisco Cordero (329) and John Wetteland (330) so far in 2014. Pitcher Saves Jonathan Lucroy is on pace for 52 doubles this season.....Lucroy looks to join Lyle Overbay (53 in 2004) and Aramis Ramirez (50 in 2012) as the only players in franchise history with a 50+ double season
