You are known as a gifted bass player, but also as a person that stirs the pot. I agree with your points of view and have learned many great things about music from you. It is very difficult to undo the years of formed opinion and I think you are seeing that fact now as you try to change and evolve to the person you want to become. In the end all that matters is how you feel about you as a person and as a musician. If you walk the path that takes you where you want to go....that is what matters my friend. Do not let shallow minds back you into a corner where publicly defending yourself seems the only option. You said nothing disrespectful and ignorance cant be corrected without a desire to learn. Keep your head up and focus on all that is right in your life. Jeff answered: I agree Brian. I made my bed! Part of my growing at this time in my life is to accept this fully. And wisdom comes to us when it comes. It has started to come to me now. Right now, I have nothing to apologize for except the way that I communicated in the past. I totally accept what I have constructed. It is up to people to decide if they wish to read me as the person I am trying to be today, or prefer to remember me as the person that I was. Both are acceptable to me as I continue to improve my communicational skills and still try to lift up music education and music itself.
