Brief Biographical Notes for Sherry Doctor Felten Some years ago, Sherry experienced, at different times, the tragic losses of her very best friend, who died from breast cancer, and of her father, who passed away in his sleep from a brain hemorrhage. These tragedies, and a thirteen-year, bed-confining illness, compelled her to study various disciplines, including genetic mapping and biochemistry from Dr. Crellin Pauling. By invitation Sherry studied in an accelerated summer program of human anatomy and kinesiology at Loma Linda University Medical School in Southern California. She committed to learn all she could about the human body: how and why people get sick, how people get well, and especially, how people STAY well. Sherry is a biologist, a financial analyst, and a credentialed teacher. For over 30 years, she has worked as a registered nurse in critical care, emergency, post-open heart surgery, medical-surgical, acute care, long term care, home care, hospital management, public health, and faith community nursing, helping to alleviate suffering and to promote wellness. In August of 2010, Sherry developed, financed, and launched the Wellness Planning Institute of the California Central Coast, LLC in Monterey, California. Sherry is passionate about learning new things, dance, music, science, mathematics, organic gardening, aviation, languages, and world travel. She lives in Pebble Beach, California with Gene, her engineer husband of 30 years. Together they deeply enjoy spending time with their five children.
