Brief biography of Shaikh Abdul Hameed Rahmani- Dear Brothers and Sisters, Assalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu, Noted Salafi scholar, cleric, orator, writer, visionary, educationalist, and a leading figure of Jamiat Ahle Hadees Hind Shaikh/ Abdul Hameed Rahmani, who led the Jamiat in its turbulent time, died today(20th August, 2013) morning in New Delhi. He was 80. inna lillahi wa inna elaihi rajioon Shaikh/Abdul Hameed Rahmani rahimahullah, who will always be remembered for his oratory and writing skills in Arabic and Urdu, was founder of a number of educational institutes in and around New Delhi, and other parts of the country mainly North India. He was suffering from diabetes and was ailing for some time. He is survived by wife, five sons and a daughter. All his children including daughter are well educated. He was buried in Batla House graveyard, New Delhi today later in the evening at 6:30 pm. May Allah pour mercy upon him and forgive him for his sins and make Jannat ul Firdaus his abode in Jannah. ameen. Shaikh/ Abdul Hameed Rahmani was General Secretary of Jamiat Ahle Hadees Hind in sixties and seventies when the Jamiat was passing through its worst and turbulent time. However, a man of determination and courage, he worked hard to rejuvenate the beleaguered Jamiat. During his tenure as editor of Majallah Tarjuman, his articles were always talk of the town. Later he also became a member of Rabita Alam-e-Islami. He was equally respected in India and abroad mainly in the Arab states. After working for long years as General Secretary of Jamiat Ahle Hadees, he later diverted his attention to education field and established Abul Kalam Azad Islamic Awakening Centre in Sanabil, New Delhi. Under this centre, he ran a chain of educational institutes in and around New Delhi including Jamia Islamia Sanabil for boys and Jamia Al-Banaat Al-Islamia for girls. Other centres include Uthman Ibn Affan Institutes, Abul Kalam Azad Boys Public School, Sanabil, New Delhi, Abul Kalam Azad Boys Public School, Gandhi Nagar, Basti, Ali Ibn Abi Talib Institute, Gola ganj, Lucknow, Umar Ibn Al-Khattab Institute, Aligarh, U.P., Abul Kalam Azad Junior High School, Gaur Bazar, Basti, U.P., Madarsa Salafiyya, Tendwa, Siddharth Nagar, U.P., Madarsa Misbahul Uloom, Talsari, Siddharth Nagar, U.P. and Institute of Islamic Education, bawra, Kathihar, Bihar. Along with Jamia Al-Banaat Al-Islamia (Islamic Girls University) Joga Bai, New Delhi he also ran Aaisha Siddiqa Shariáh College, Joga Bai, New Delhi, Khadijatul Kubra Girls Public School, Joga Bai, New Delhi, Khadijatul Kubra Girls Public School, Gandhi Nagar, Basti, As-Al-Swalihat Institute, Aunrahwa, Balrampur, U.P. and Khadijatul Kubra Girls Institutes, Gainsari Bazar, Balrampur especially for girls. Famouse salafi Scholar shaykh/ Syed Meraj Rabbani, Inayat ullah Madani hafezhumullah have studied from his jamia.
