Brief update on my health scare. 4 weeks post op, saw Consultant today, Surgery mega success, lost 7.5 of the old bowel and Histopathology confirms no Lymph node involvement....but....some Cancer cells found in adjacent blood vessels. Now not devastating news just irritating, so to belt and brace things or a form of what I would describe as a clinical insurance policy, I will now be having Chemotherapy over the next 5 months but nothing spooky by the sound of things as it is looking likely that I will be taking the Tablets which hopefully will be better tolerated than by Intravenous injection. So as now daily self administered Fragmin injections for six months and Chemo whenever the Oncologists say must commence. All remains on target for a total and positive outcome.
