Brief update: the brain bleed has in fact grow but only a little. The neuro does not feel it warrants surgical intervention yet. Still cannot speak or write and those functions will require a lot of PT/OT to restore and even then it probably will not be at full capacity. He exhausts quickly when trying to communicate, partly because of the effort and partly because of the Keppra to ward off seizures. It is hard to see him struggle.
