Bright Half Moon in August Keeping me company Just above me there on my right Chasing the night back home. There were the days before quiet comfortable cars When we would drive forty with the windows down. Singing and sweating over a soda A bag of Toms peanuts Nowhere to be in a hurry Minding our own business With long sweet dreams to enliven us. I stop along the beach to refresh myself Whose dunes might be my linens Bunch grasses my pillow Waves the perfect symphony...
