"Bright, alert and responsive" are the kinds of words most people use to describe pets....only the ACC uses words like that to describe animals they are about to kill. Simba is a healthy 7-week-old baby girl who has some eye crud, but who is otherwise just fine! She is friendly, curious, and in lots of other shelters around the country, she would be sitting in the adoptions ward, on the brink of meeting her forever family. Here in NYC she is warehoused in a little hole somewhere behind the scenes, and she will be killed tomorrow without anyone giving it a second thought.
