Brighten up your afternoon with a beautiful bluegrass take on a classic Miles Davis tune! David Grisman, Jerry Garcia, and Tony Rice recorded this track and the rest of the excellent Pizza Tapes album during two evening jam sessions at Grismans studio. Garcia had a cassette copy made of some of the music from these sessions. Rumor has it that the tape was stolen from his house by a pizza delivery boy and was subsequently distributed far and wide among tape traders. The tape became known as the Pizza Boy tape. The album as we now know it was produced from the Dawg Studio master tapes, with stellar sound quality to match the wonderful songs. As Grisman says in his accompanying notes: ”After several years of being pissed off, I decided to bury the hatchet with the pizza boy and make these tapes available to all in this ‘official’ version.
