Brilliant news from Brazil This is a tree-corridor – ten years in the making – before and after. Critically, it connects two formerly fragmented (by clearing for cattle grazing) habitats where black lion tamarins are still found, in what remains of Brazils Atlantic Rainforest. Brazilian NGO IPE was founded by Durrell Conservation Academy graduates, and have worked tirelessly to see this come to fruition. The people, and especially schoolchildren of Jersey can be very proud of themselves for this, as money from collected aluminium cans and brought to Durrell for recycling have been a major source of funding, through our Cans for Corridors initiative.
