Bring Back Borstal? ITVs new little mini-squit on our screens. Just watched episode one and all I can say is, what a load of sandal-wearing, t-shirt slogan-scribbling, custard-skin wrestling nonsense. Like borstal in the thirties? I think not. Talk back to the Governor and have him stroll after you for a few words? Break down into tears and get a hug from the Matron? Assault guards and break furniture and get one night in solitary confinement? ITV are having a bigger laugh (and bigger p*ss take) than the scrofulous little excrescences who are supposedly in there for violence abounding. Mind you, it has given me a delicious idea for a plot, and a much better idea than any borstal - to be included in the next collection. Not an entirely wasted hour then, watching society powder and kiss these kids arses - instead of kicking their heads most decidely in three times a day; something, the only thing, that might just work wonders. ;-) itv/presscentre/ep1week2/bring-back-borstal
