Bartlett The only team that beat Bafana was made up of nine overseas based players. Five of those players were playing together in the U/23 team in Sydney Olympic games 2000. Four of those players were in the 1998 WC in France. Seven of those players played together in 2002 WC in Korea/Japan. Eight of those players played together in the 2002 AFCON in Mali. All in all we had a strong team that year made up of experienced players, only two players were playing in the PSL [Nzama & Vilakazi]. Seven players were graduates of the U/23 team that is why we managed to beat the Nigerian Squad. Im afraid the same cant be said about this team because ever since the announcement of 2010 WC, we have been building Bafana Bafana on a daily basis.
