Bringing back the need for arts in the community!! A lot of city school districts throughout the country are in the process of cutting arts programing. Visual Art provides an escape and means for expression even without verbalization. The children in the North End of Detroit have been working on mural art revitalizing and enriching the appearance of their neighborhood. This a clip form their 1 day platform for youth urban expression that will be replicated in the future highlighting the work of urban spoken word poets, story tellers and emcees to perform! The proposal was chosen as the 2013 recipient of the C+PAD performing arts grant for the North End community.
