Bringing some of the comment conversation from our last post to the forefront: Jessie wrote: Anyone dumb enough to take/use something not knowing what it is basically asking for something bad to happen.. Not saying Emily or anyone with bad consequences deserved it but the fact remains it was their poor choice. Aspirin, drain cleaner, and bleach are legal but I dont plan to ingest them . We responded: At the time Emily smoked it- she didnt know it was dangerous. She honestly thought it was a legal alternative to marijuana. Marijuana in her mind was not harmful, so a legal alternative seemed even safer. Something she could pass a drug test with. Here, when they asked for it at the gas station the called it legal. As in, Can I get some legal?. Which brings me back to the original point of this post. SAFE is not to blame anyone, but it is to spread awareness to the user that what they are asking for is harmful. You mention aspirin, drain cleaner, and bleach. Those all have warnings, we all know the consequences. SAFE was created to spread awareness about the consequences.
