Brings to mind my own Toss My Keys experience. Im pretty sure if the telephone company hadnt decided to close down the Payment Office in Starkville, Dyanne and I would happily still be right there. Of the many positions I was fortunate to have held during my 25 years at Bell, meeting & serving the public day after day was by far my favorite. I started in 1970 as a cord board telephone operator in Columbus, then many years later taking bill payments in Starkville. As holds true for Ron, retirements not for everyone. Even though Ive loved every minute of mine, I do miss the interactions like Darlenes.
