Britains Most Angriest Drivers Revealed Hit the north to find the countrys happiest motorists The angriest drivers in the country can be found on the streets of London, while those happiest behind the wheel can be found motoring around Yorkshire and the English north. These are the findings of a wide-ranging poll by a car and motorcycle dealership who attempted to find out where the most frustrated drivers are, and what causes their fury. Unsurprisingly, ColinAppleyard found that the angriest drivers can be found in and around large urban areas, with the capital having the highest concentration of motorist who hit the horn first and ask questions later. We have a rule of thumb that the nearer you get to a big city, the more likely you are to come up against road rage, said ColinAppleyard spokesperson Robin Appleyard, and it has more-or-less been proved by these survey results. According to a telephone survey of 1,200 motorists on behalf of ColinAppleyard, the percentage of people from each region who said that driving made them angrier was: London 63% Midlands 59% South-east England 58% North-west England 44% East Anglia 39% South and Central Scotland 37% Wales 32% Northern Ireland 29% South-west England 24% Scottish Highlands 19% Northern England 17%
