Brittney Silvas high school graduation was just days away as she - TopicsExpress

Brittney Silvas high school graduation was just days away as she walked down her neighborhood sidewalk, listening to her phone. She was a 4.0 student, about to head off to college. As she began crossing the train tracks, neighbors saw an Amtrak engine coming, and screamed, trying to warn her about the train that she couldnt hear flying toward her. It was too late, and her body was thrown over a 150 feet away after the impact, so badly injured that nothing paramedics could do could save her. Now a mothers only daughter is gone, and shes left wondering why all her warnings about ear buds were ignored. If you have kids, know someone with kids, and especially if you let them use headphones, show them Brittneys story. sanfrancisco.cbslocal/2014/05/19/pedestrian-distracted-walking-tracks-warning-witness-woman-wearing-headphones-killed-by-amtrak-train-despite-warning-from-witness/
