Brockville Police Community Volunteers (BPCV) On the 28th of April 2014 the BPCV met for the first time. An orientation took place at the Brockville Police Headquarters and the Volunteers went over their role. They will perform non-confrontational tasks and will not replace any police officer’s current roles. They are here to enhance what the Brockville Police currently has. One member was out on King Street yesterday introducing the program to our local businesses. They will be identified with a grey shirt with a Community Volunteer shoulder flash and Black cargo pants. Volunteers will carry police identification and are very approachable. They look forward to meeting our community and are considered as Town Ambassadors. On May 12th 2014 at 7 pm we will present our Volunteers to the community at the kick off for Police Week. The event will take place at the 1000 Island Mall. The event is open to the public and we hope to see a large crowd.
