Broken record time… Does it matter when you consume carbohydrates for fat loss? No, hell no! There is no advantage to your fat burning efforts by consuming your carbohydrates before dark. Likewise, there is no disadvantage in eating them after the sun has set… Our body burns fat over a 24 hour period, and what determines whether or not we burn body fat is our net energy balance. So if you are consuming less calories than your body burns in a day, you will have achieved an energy deficit. Therefore, regardless of the timing of your carbohydrates, your body will pull on stored energy, preferably fat. The most important factor in fat loss is total energy/calories & macronutrients consumed. So whether or not you choose to eat your carbohydrates for breakfast, lunch or as your crawl into bed is a matter of personal preference!
