Broken souls photo exhibition which aimed at challenging individuals on gender based violence closed today with a vibrant discussion and active participation of different people with different perspectives. there can never be a change in one night over a one time discussion(wonders& miracles of God is undeniable) but truly, it was brain storming and a great start. I have learned so much and i thank God for meeting every one of you, both the blessings and the lesson ones. Today, as we raised questions, what can be done? here are few points that impressed me: (1) when we talk about rape let us also feel responsible and talk the fact that the perpetrators could have been our guy friends or a family member, our hashtags should also be #hemighthavebeenmybrother #heisabrother, they live in the society and we brought them out lesson leaned! (2)HIV/AIDS have been included in the academic study books and we see some change, same way violence should be taught from childhood,at the time where they dont know about violence #teachlove (3) On one of the photos my friend took was a journalist whom someone threw sulfuric acid in her face, she is just at home now due to stigma and of course hopelessness. a man mentioned, she should be given an opportunity to read news on TV and every one should see her There are many more great points taken but here are the few
