Broncos HC John Fox after Practice today: On the injury report “[LB] Stewart Bradley did not practice today. [RB] C.J. Anderson, [CB] Champ Bailey, [TE] Joel Dreessen, [WR] Wes Welker [also did not practice]. Back from yesterday was [CB] Omar Bolden. A couple of things on the roster: [C] J.D. Walton, we placed on Reserve/PUP, which means he’s able to come back after Week Six. And then [S] Quinton Carter we put on injured reserve, so he will miss the season.” On the tough break for Carter “I think obviously we think well enough of him that he started 10 games for us two years ago. It’s an unfortunate injury; it’s really nobody’s fault. It’s just part of football. He had a procedure done, that we think with time he can come back completely.” On DE Derek Wolfe coming back from his injury “Looking back a couple of weeks that was a pretty scary proposition for him, and really anybody in that stadium—especially anybody on our sideline. So it’s a blessing. We’re happy for him and it’s good to have him back here.” On the running back position and who will be the starter “Well, I don’t even know yet, so I don’t know how you all know. We’ve got another preseason game. We have good feelings about both of them (RBs Montee Ball and Ronnie Hillman). As I mentioned yesterday, they’ll both carry a big load for us this season—knock on wood. Whether it’s ‘1A’ and ‘1,’ or however you want to list it, they’re both very capable and we’re very pleased with both of them.” On if he can get a good enough feel about the running backs in practice “We’re not going to get into how much we’re going to play anybody on Thursday, other than to say that we’ve seen plenty that I think everybody in that locker room, and on our coaching staff, has confidence in both of them” On RB Knowshon Moreno “He’s high up there too. If you look over my last two years, or my tenure here, we’ve leaned on a lot of different guys. We’ll keep more than one-deep—you’re allowed to do that in this league with 53 players. We’ve had to have, ‘Next man up,’ a bunch, so I don’t think—I can’t predict the future. But whoever we keep we feel good about.” On the NFL Kickoff Game promotional banners featuring some Baltimore Ravens players in Denver “I haven’t seen it. There was a billboard here a couple of years ago I never saw either (laughing). At the end of the day, we don’t pay that too much mind. I think somebody may have showed me a picture, but I never saw it in person.”
