Brooks/Tri and Run Mullingar Road League Round 5 Mullingar Harriers 5k Race Series concluded last Wednesday with the final leg of the competition on a fine sunny evening in Belvedere. Although Declan Fahey missed the last leg he had already secured a win in the o40s category having lead the grouping in each of the four previous rounds. Andy O’Grady made a clean sweep of it in the o55 group, rounding off the series with a time of 22.34 to take first place in his age group. In the o70s category, Jim Langan was declared the winner after leading the first four rounds. His time on Wednesday was 24.55 which saw him finish second in his category on the night. Finian Minnock put in another fine run to clock 19.41 on the last night of the competition. His club mates Damien Minnock and Ger Keyes joined him in the last round finishing in 20.33 and 21.46 respectively.
