Central Standard Time where he will be interviewing Sierra Leone West Africas, Brother Cherno Alpha M. Bah, author of NEOCOLONIALISM IN WEST AFRICA. The new book is a collection of essays and articles by Chernoh Alpha M. Bah that addresses fundamental questions around multinationals and modern imperialist exploitation of West Africa’s vast mineral and energy resources. It explains how capitalist corporations and western nations have been able to control the economy and resources of West Africa through rigged elections, civil wars and military coups in the region. The Book argues that the ongoing crisis and conflict situation in West Africa are attendant negative consequences of the continuing scramble for the immense resources on the continent. It presents the understanding that the transition from “direct colonial rule” to so-called “independence” was not a change in the colonial bureaucratic structure but a continuation of the exploitative arrangement of the European colonialist state. Chernoh Alpha M. Bah will be in North America from March 15- April 15, 2014 to speak to audiences about his book and the struggle for socialism in West Africa. He is a journalist, writer and political activist in West Africa. About Chernoh Alpha M.
