Brothers All, I want to share the preliminary details regarding the Final services for Brother Hicks. This information is being shared now so that Brothers may plan their calendars accordingly. Additional details shall be provided as it becomes available The Wake for Brother Hicks will take place NEXT FRIDAY, November 14, 2014. The Wake will take Place at the Bethany Baptist Church, which is located at 460 Marcus Garvey Blvd, Brooklyn, NY. where Rev. Brother Adolphus C. Lacey is the Pastor. The Viewing will Commence at 4PM, and the Kappa Service will be performed PROMPTLY at 7PM. The Formal Program will be from 7:30 to 8:30 PM The Funeral Services for Brother Hicks will take place next Saturday, November 15, 2014 at The Abyssinian Baptist Church, which is located at 132 Odell Clark Place, New York, NY 10030. The Final viewing commences at 9:00 AM and the Celebration of Life service will start promptly at 10:00 AM. Reverend Brother Calvin O. Butts, III. shall officiate the service and will deliver the eulogy. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the J.P. Hicks Family Mass Communication Scholarship - In care of the New York Alumni Scholarship Foundation. (Checks should be made to the New York Alumni Scholarship Foundation, with the JP Hicks Family Mass Communication Scholarship noted in the Memo) Further Details shall be forthcoming, but for now, please schedules your plans accordingly.
