Brothers, Week #2 of the 2014 Contribution Challenge is officially in the rearview mirror, and it was a busy one, with eleven (11) brothers stepping up to represent West Virginia Beta with pride and distinction! We are now officially one-third of the way towards meeting our 2014 fundraising goal of $25,000! Week #2 Highlights: Brother Steve Barrows (#1125) achieved the high distinction of THREEPEAT contributor status during Week #2 of the Challenge, and moved his Fall 79 Pledge Class into a two-way tie with the Spring 76 Pledge Class to lead ALL West Virginia Beta pledge classes with respect to total contributions. New Royal Purple Blood in Week #2 from brother Patrick Erik Oyco (#1321) was enough to solidify the Fall 85 Pledge Class lead for the second consecutive week, with respect to the category of highest number of contributing pledge class brothers. Well done brothers! And more New Royal Purple Blood in Week #2 from brothers Larry Manny Little (#1355), who joins his proud pledge brothers from the Fall 86 Pledge Class, as well as brother Steven Lister (#1716), who single-handedly puts his Spring 96 Pledge Class on the BIG BOARD. Who among our West Virginia Beta brothers will join these brothers as initial Contribution Challenge contributors during Week #3? Stand up and represent, brothers! Brother Chuck Waugaman (#1021), representing the DEFENDING TWO-TIME CHAMPION Fall 76 Pledge Class (highest total contributions) served notice in Week #2 that this distinguished pledge class is in the hunt once again, as he personally achieves THREEPEAT contributor status and puts his pledge class on the BIG BOARD yet again. (Question to all West Virginia Beta brothers...would a TRIFECTA constitute achievement of LEGENDARY status among all West Virginia Beta pledge classes?...just asking, in case.) OH BROTHERS, WHERE ART THOU? Missing in action (YET AGAIN) during Week #2 of the Challenge, were the brothers of the 60s. Perhaps these pillars of the Chapter, who first occupied 709 N. High St., will make their appearance during Week #3! Id almost bet my draft card on it (if I had one). WANTED: BALANCED MEN OF WEST VIRGINIA BETA Still waiting on the brothers of the Balanced Man classes (post 2011) to flex their muscle this year. Nate Taylor (current AVC board member) is looking mighty lonely as the sole contributor from such classes thus far. Can a West Virginia Beta Balanced Man get a brother to stand beside him and represent during Week #3? SOUND MIND, SOUND BODY...SOUND FAMILIAR?
