Brothers and sisters, If GOD desires the knowledge of GOD and the mercy of GOD above all your carnal sacrifices, your tithes, your offerings, your observance of Sabbath days, the law of Moses, and all the other things you do and practice to make yourself right with GOD, then it is of great importance that you know GOD according to the truth of his word, and not according to your carnal man made religions!~ For the word of GOD says, I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than your burnt offerings. Brothers and sisters, GOD says, He desires mercy, and the knowledge of GOD more than your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, but the problem with this word is this, you cannot know the mercy of GOD or what GOD desires, if you do not know GOD according to his word!~ (Hosea 6:5-6) Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and your judgments are as the light that goes forth. For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than your burnt offerings. (Isaiah 1:9-20) Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah. Hear the word of the LORD, you rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, you people of Gomorrah. To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? Says the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. When you come to appear before me, who has required this at your hand, to tread my courts? Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hates: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them. And when you spread forth your hands, I will hide my eyes from you: yes, when you make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. Wash yourself, make yourself clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. Come now, and let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you be willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land: But if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it. (Psalms 49:6-13) They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches; None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him: (For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceases for ever:) That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption. For he sees that wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others. Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names. Nevertheless man being in honour abides not: he is like the beasts that perish. This their way is their folly: yet their posterity approve their sayings. Selah. (Psalms 50:7-15) Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against you: I am God, even thy God. I will not reprove thee for your sacrifices or your burnt offerings, to have been continually before me. I will take no bullock out of your house, nor he goats out of your folds. For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell you: for the world is mine, and the fullness thereof. Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats? Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me. Brothers and sisters, GOD has a sense of humor, when I read this word it made me laugh, because I can actually hear the sarcasm in GODS word saying, I will take no bullock out of your house, nor he goats out of your folds. For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell you: for the world is mine, and the fullness thereof. Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats? Brothers and sisters, this is the old testament, and in the old testament GOD is telling the people what he desires, and what he does not desire, but the majority of you are still trying give GOD things he does not desire, because you dont know GOD according to his word/JESUS, that you might know the revelation knowledge of GOD in CHRIST JESUS is what GOD desires above all things! Brothers and sisters, JESUS SAYS, eternal life is to possess the knowledge of GOD, and JESUS CHRIST whom GOD has sent!~ Eternal life has nothing to do with you trying to obey all the commandments of GOD, eternal life has nothing to do with the laws of Moses, the Sabbath days, or the days you choose to worship GOD throughout the week! For eternal life is the revelation knowledge of GOD in CHRIST JESUS! (John 17:3) JESUS SAYS, And this is life eternal, that they might know you the only true God, and JESUS CHRIST, whom you have sent. (John 14:6-7) JESUS SAYS, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.
