Bruce Lee is dying and will soon be dead. When Bruce died physically, he released his spirit to travel throughout the world. His energy flowed into his many followers and gave them an excitement for life. Then suddenly the river of flowing energy became a trickle as the Lee family put up tollbooths and charged admission to share his memory. They built a wall to protect Bruce Lee the legend rather than Bruce lee the man. True disciples of Bruce lee were pushed aside so the money makers could create the fantasy Bruce Lee, such as the Dragon movie. Only those who can pay the toll are allowed to benefit from the “Legend”. Overnight the spotlights were turned off and the real Bruce Lee faded into the shadows. Today, Bruce is seen through distorted mirrors and is hardly recognizable. Worse yet, his spirit is growing fainter as his image dissolves into only a glimmer, soon to be washed away by time. Don’t let Bruce Lee die. It is time, before it is too late, to capture the true memory of Bruce Lee the man, before he became the legend. Not only must we do the early years, but the years before he was snatched up by the greedy fingers of Hollywood. The early Seattle years are only a step in Bruce’s journey to self discovery. His Jun Fan and JKD years were also critical in creating the man who pointed the way for many of his followers.
