Bruce,most of the time i write to you from my room with the door closed because it so personal to me that i have to be all alone to be in the right mind space to say what i need to you.in this journey that Im on at times i feel ambivalent about where Ive been so far and then there are times that i do things that concern you that make me feel like i cant take another step without you in my life.tonight Im sorting thru all your tee shirts to make a quilt trying to find shirts that marked milestones in your life like project grad,your trip to G-land,whistler,kahoolawe,your dave tayler construction shirt,your kin taros shirt ,several tamba shirts,your keep it kauai shirt ,it goes on and on.I start looking for your hockey jerseys and i cant find them anywhere so i ask mom and she says that they might be in one of the plastic tubs above the closets and that for some reason stops me dead in my tracks and i start feeling very sad.after two years Im taking some steps to sort thru,categorize and some how display certain things that have been up to this point spread around in closets,drawers, under the bed and i guess been put away in plastic tubs.I guess its hard to do all the things that both honor the life you lived and at the same time come to the conclusion that your really gone.wuv you dad.
