Bryce Canyon in Utah is actually not a canyon but a collection of giant natural amphitheaters along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. The slopes of these giant escarpments are covered with odd geological formations called hoo doos. Oddly, nobody except Native Americans saw this amazing site until 1874, when Ebenezer bryce settles nearby and discovered it. Thats a mighty big hole! he is reputed to have said about it.
