Bub and Socco Watson traveled over the North Cascades Hwy and enjoyed a bit of Watson history in doing so. What took them a couple hours took J. Howard Watson several weeks back in 1898 when J. Howard, two other road commissioners and their crew spent two months searching for a wagon road route over the Northern Cascade Mountains. The two photos below show how things have changed over the last 116 years.
