Bucs relaxing ahead of CL Final Orlando Pirates relaxing ahead of CAF Champions League Final Posted: 31 October 2013 Time: 10:01 am Print this article Roger de Sa has decided to let his players “put their feet up and relax” before their CAF Champions League Final clash with Al Ahly on Saturday. Despite playing just three League games so far, Pirates have played 17 official matches because of CAF and domestic cup commitments. De Sa says his players’ performance in the Soweto Derby against Kaizer Chiefs last weekend indicated that fatigue is setting in, prompting him to recommend some down-time. The coach fielded an almost unchanged line-up for three close fixtures – against Esperance (October 19), Golden Arrows (October 23) and Chiefs (October 26) – and admits that was a bit of a gamble. “I decided I wanted to keep up the momentum and stick to a winning formula although I had thought of resting many of the key players,” De Sa tells BBC Sport. “It was a call I made only late and after pondering both arguments. But it was obvious we were very tired on Saturday and so this week it will be about putting our feet up and relaxing before the Ahly game.” Bucs face the Egyptian giants in the first leg of the Champions League Final at Orlando Stadium on Saturday. Kick-off is 8.30pm
