Bud Olsen here is your Bud Update. Day 12 in the hospital and Day 5 post op. Yes I know you will say or think he should be ready to go home. Everyone has a different recovery and Dad was unknowingly to himself so very sick when he fainted on Aug 11th. Because he was so sick and weak and because he is a big and tall man his recovery has been extremely on the slow track. He showed today when he needed to that he will keep trying. This was a most important decision and I feel will be a turning point if the Lord agrees. Prayers he is up and able to do more extensive rehab work very soon. So thankful he was able to sit in chair 2x today...whether he wanted to or not. With much pleading, encouraging, pushing and begging. He did it the second time. Yea!!! He spent 7 hours today combined sitting in a chair. This means not in the bed, laying down, putting self at risk for pneumonia or blood clots which he is very susceptible. He also ate a little at dinner first in 5 days really. I am happy with the progress even if it seems slow to others I see and hear and feel and know how hard he is working. I promise. Keep him in your prayers and in a week or two he should be ready to visit longer and with more people.
