Buddha isnt a name it is a title, like how we use Saint for instance. For one to obtain the title of Buddha one must become fully awakened and must have completely purified ones mind of the three poisons of desire, aversion, and ignorance. The term translates to one who is enlightened. A Buddha is no longer bound by Samsara, which means basically to perpetually wander, and has ended the suffering which un-awakened people experience in life. Siddhartha Gautama, known by many as the founder/father of Buddhism, was a sage on whose teachings Buddhism was founded, but there have been ones before him and many after him to obtain the title of Buddha. The robust, some say fat, smiling or laughing Buddha that most regard or think of as Buddha is actually named Pu-Tai, or sometimes spelled Budai, and is a Chinese folklore deity. Many confuse Pu-Tai with Siddhartha Gautama. Also, Buddhism isnt a religion its a belief system centered on finding true inner peace and enlightenment. Read up on it... #Onelove
