Buddhism,is a high philosophy,devised clearly the way of life based on humanism.Once he said, not a single meal eaten without sharing.If it is eaten alone that can not be a full meal. At my view,he is a secular humanist,far away from race and religion.A supreme monk has no religion. How many such monks are there in Srilanka? At my view there are 1 in 1000 only.You can not see them in any protest meetings or election meetings.I am very lucky I had a chance to be with them few hours.One is passed away and one is still living.That is Madukanda Lokku Sadhu. A brief incident ,In 1990,we were in Vavuniya,the whole Vavuniya people fled to different destinations.I took my family and went to Madukanda Buddhist Temple.I ever had such a cordial welcome in my life.The Anantha sadhu received us and took us to Locku sadhu.A beard,lean fully matured looked at us.I have no words to express my feeling I had at that time.What a compassion,what a kindness.He instructed Ananda sadhu to look after my family to the maximum satisfaction.We enjoyed the maximum for two weeks.The whole villagers came there in the nights for the security reasons.We enjoyed tow weeks glamorous nights.The children used to play Army and Kotty.Once a kotty boy threw a big stone on an army girl and wounded her head,bleedding.Coffee powder was the only medicine to put a patch. My question is,suppose in such critical situation,by circumstances if we were at Dambulla temple how our situation would have been?
