Budgam, July 23 : The situation in the Budgam district remained tense today after fresh clashes between members of two communities erupted. Reports said the clashes continued for third consecutive day today between the members of two communities in Garend-Allahpora belt. “The situation took an ugly turn this evening when members of a particular community attacked the worship place of another community at Allahpora”. It lead to increase in tension and further clashes. Sensing trouble authorities imposed strict curfew in the area. Two women were reportedly injured in the clashes between protesters and forces after miscreants attacked dozens of houses of a particular community in Allahpora area. Sources said police have detained dozens of youth. Meanwhile, residents of Wadwan Budgam protested against the alleged atrocities committed by CRPF men this evening. They accused the paramilitary personnel of barging into their houses, beating inmates and ransacking household goods. “The CRPF men also smashed window and glass panes of houses and parked vehicles,” they alleged.
