Buffalo, N.Y. Firefighters of the 3rd Battalion 1st Platoon were called out to battle a fire in a two story frame dwelling at 68 Rodgers Ave. on Buffalos East Side early Tuesday morning December 23, 2014. A firefighter fell through a floor during the fire but was uninjured and remained on duty. Two 1 3/4 hand lines and 35 of ladders were used to control the blaze. Damage was listed at $40,000.00 to the building. The structure was vacant and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Division Chief Patrick Brittzalaro was in command. Photos by David F.
