Buganda Road Court has convicted a Nurse, Rosemary Namubiru of negligence, for having used the same cannular that had pricked her finger to inject a two year old child, well knowing she was HIV Positive. Chief magistrate, Olive Kazaarwe, ruled that her actions were not only unlawful and negligent, but that she was found to be of sound mind and therefore had every reason to know that the cannular would transmit this disease to the child. Namubiru was arrested on 8th January 2014 at Victoria Medical Center, after the childs matter reported the matter to Police.
