Bugti murder case: BHC rejects Musharraf’s bail plea By: Farah Jamil, Uploaded: 30th July 2013 QUETTA: Balochistan High Court rejected bail plea of former military ruler Pervez Musharraf in a case pertaining to veteran Baloch leader Nawaz Akbar Bugti’s killing in 2006 military operation in Balochistan, media reported on Monday. A two-member bench, comprising Justice Ghulam Mustafa Mengal and Justice Naeem Akhtar, heard the case today and rejected pre-arrest bail plea of the former military chief. The BHC had reserved its verdict on the bail plea on July 22 after anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Quetta rejected Musharraf’s application. Musharraf has been accused of orchestrating murder of Bugti, the chief of his tribe, who was killed in a military operation in 2006.
