Buhari - Fraudulent, Corrupt Certificate Forger I remember - TopicsExpress

Buhari - Fraudulent, Corrupt Certificate Forger I remember clearly that General Muhammadu Buhari/Tunde Idiagbon regime overthrew Shagari when Nigeria faced similar situations we now find ourselves as nation, making the fight against corruption and restoration of discipline the cardinal point of their administration which lasted for 20 months. I am not quite sure they had any credible strategy to get the economy out of the doldrums (although it must be admitted that poverty incidence in Nigeria as of 1985 when they left office was just 46%, compared to now that poverty incidence and unemployment have reached an all-time high levels - poverty incidence grew to 69% in 2010 and projected to be 71% in 2011, with unemployment at 24% (the worst record in Nigeria’s history, paradoxically happening during an unprecedented oil boom. Fortuitously, Buhari is once more seeking to lead Nigeria; but times have changed, and Nigeria is basically different from a people the man of Buhari’s standing can aspire to lead in any modern state. Principally, this is a democracy and dealing with corruption must be within the ambit of the rule of law and due process. Moreover, the size, structure and institutions of the economy have fundamentally altered. The market economy, especially the capital market and global integration, enforces binding constraints and discipline on any regime that a religious fanatic and ethnic bigot cannot grasp. Also, dealing with most of the other issues— insecurity, unemployment/poverty, infrastructure, health, education, etc., require increased, smarter, and more efficient expertise; while getting things done in a democracy requires complicated bargaining, especially where the legislature, labour, the media, and civil society groups have become strong and entrenched but not within the ambit of autocracy with the threat of horse whip or muzzle of the gun. I remember also that I left secondary school in 1973 as the very first set of students to write the May/June WAEC Exams. Hitherto and particularly in 1961 when I was in primary 2, the academic calendar ran from January to December of each year. How come that Buhari with an “impeccable” character of the saviour, APC is clamouring to deliver our nation from corrupt practices is dressing himself with a fraudulent May/June certificate of graduation from Standard 6 school in the midst of controversies that the University of Cambridge (the organisers of the examinations) insists that some of the subjects listed in General Buhari’s purported WASC certificate was not offered in its examinations in the year 1961? Abegi… APC make una substitute Prof. Yemi Osibajo sharp, sharp; otherwise go form your ye ye parallel government before valentine day under your stark illiterate, fraudulent, corrupt certificate forger. He has failed election WOEFULLY before the casting of ballot! No way Buhari! You subverted democracy as the popular will of the people with the muzzle of the gun. You cannot again subvert the Constitution as the collective destiny of the people!!
