Buhari school certificate matter would not just go away in spite of the huge men and material resources that has been deployed to make it disappear! Many get very emotional and more often than not resort to insults and abusive language when this issue comes up for discussion in social media. But the truth is that we are missing the point! This is a constitutional matter that is capable of plunging this country into a constitutional crisis if not well handled now! If the law says provide proof of having attained up to school certificate education then provide proof you must! Imagine a situation where Buhari wins the election and a court nullifies the election because of that technicality what would his supporters think? Would they not go on rampage? Would innocent lives not be lost? I hear that somebody is in court already to even stop him from contesting the election altogether based on this technicality! What if this person succeeds now or on the eve of the election? What happens to the elections? What happens to the relative peace we presently enjoy in this country. I do not think he should be disqualified from the contest if for nothing else, for the sake of the innocent lives that may be lost when his already incited very volatile supporters unleash mayhem. Let his fate be determined at the polls. But let it be done constitutionally! How? Amend that law (not very feasible owing to time constraints and of course partisanship!) or let the courts (the Supreme Court preferably) give an interpretation to that law that will lay the issue to rest and drag the nation back from this precipice. My take. What is yours?
