Building Construction and Planning Update: At Mt. Pleasant, masonry walls are being constructed in the administration section of the building. The concrete slab floor for the Kindergarten-1st grade section and the first floor of the two story classroom section has been poured. In the gymnasium/cafeteria section, metal door frames are being installed and the stage for the music room is being prepared. Claypool Electric is continuing to install the primary feeders to the main electrical room and installing boxes and conduit as the masonry walls are being built. At Tarhe Trails, the concrete footers and masonry block foundations are finished in the Kindergarten-1st grade section of the building. Storm water plumbing and masonry bearing walls are being constructed in the same section, so walls will start to become visible at the site. In the two story classroom section, perimeter and interior footings along with masonry block foundations are being constructed. Earthwork to prepare the building pad continues in the gymnasium/cafeteria/administration section of the building. At Gorsuch West, masonry walls will begin to appear in the gymnasium/cafeteria and administration sections of the building while electrical rough ins are being installed. Fox Mechanical is installing the underground plumbing system in the administration section of the building. Footers and masonry foundation block are being constructed in the two story section of the building. Earthwork continues in the bus drop off and visitor parking areas. A pre bid meeting was held last week with furniture contractors to review bidding conditions for the combined package for all five buildings. A meeting was also held with HVAC contractors, the controls contractors, and the HVAC manufacturers to coordinate control integration for the heating and cooling systems in all five buildings.
