Building Fire – 6 Chambers Circle, West Lebanon, NH: September 26, 2014 West Lebanon, NH On Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 1505 hours the Lebanon, Hanover and Hartford, VT Fire Departments responded to 6 Chamber Circle for a report of a house fire. On arrival units found heavy fire on the first and second floors, extending through the roof. Units initiated a defensive exterior attack on the fire. The fire was declared under control at 1700 hours and units remained on scene through the early evening performing overhaul operations and extinguishing hot spots. There was no one home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries. The home suffered extensive fire and water damage. The Norwich, VT, Plainfield and Meriden Fire Departments assisted on scene and providing coverage for other emergencies within the city. September 25, 2014 Follow-up: Investigators from the Lebanon Fire and Police Department in cooperation with Investigators from the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office and a private insurance investigator returned to the scene to conduct an investigation. After a thorough initial investigation the cause has been determined to be accidental and focused on the dishwasher. As a result we would like to encourage residents to check the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s website at cpsc.gov for possible recall information on all household appliances.
