Building Up Reserves Consider the camel that stores reserves in its hump. It is able to weather the storms and go through the desert for long periods. All this because it has built up resources on which it can later draw. You too were created with such a capacity, not for physical resources, but for spiritual ones. And you were given the ability to build up those resources within. And yet so often my people are unprepared when trouble strikes. You face daily, opposition from many quarters. You face the pressures of the world, opposition from man and from the Evil One. You face the temptations of the flesh. And so often you fall prey to these things because you have failed to build up the resources you need. I want you to succeed. I want you to overcome in the face of adversity. I want you to prosper in everything you set your hand to. But you are trapped in the habits of the world. You feed and drink at the cesspools that the World has to offer, instead of looking to the Fountain of Life, and the Bread of Life. Be wise like the camel then and feed daily on me. For as you abide in my presence, shall your thirst not be quenched? And as you meditate in my Word, shall your hunger not be satisfied? And then, when trouble comes and disaster strikes, you will arise in my power. And you will shake off the foes that come against you. And you will rise up as victor in me. For that is what I have called you to.
