Building fire - Alexandria Police are attending a fire which started at an industrial complex in Alexandria this morning. About 1.40am today (Wednesday 2 July 2014), emergency services responded to reports of a fire at an industrial complex on Burrows Road. Police from Redfern LAC - NSW Police Force and Fire and Rescue NSW personnel attended the location and found a single storey building well alight. Efforts are currently underway to extinguish the blaze, which has spread to two nearby buildings. Approximately 20 people have been evacuated from the industrial complex in which the fire broke out. There have been no reports of injury so far. Police are yet to interview witnesses, but at this stage are not treating the fire as suspicious. As a result of the incident, Burrows Road is closed on both ends and Euston Road is closed between Campbell Street and Sydney Park Road.
