Bukina Faso long-serving (27 years) president was just removed from office following mass protests against his prolonged rule and attempt to alter the constitution to give him more terms. Unexpectedly, some Nigerians are beginning to make comparisons; that Jonathan should also watch his back, that Nigerians should also sack Jonathan like the Bukina Faso people did, that the army should also seize power like they did in Bukina Faso. What nonsense! Theres no comparison between president Jonathan and the deposed Bukina Faso president. Jonathan is just completing his constitutionally-allowed first term, hes not doctoring the constitution to suit his personal interest in anyway, and for now, we are not aware of any tenure elongation. So, why the ungodly, unpatriotic and stupid prayer for a repeat of the Bukina Faso protest in Nigeria? We must not talk just for the sake of talking. Many of us have had our sense of reasoning beclouded by party, tribal and religious sentiments and this is doing us more harm than good.
