Bullet train can wait for some time, as there are pretty good no: of ground works to be done before that. The current situation in our railway system is the need of accuracy, cleanliness & safety for the commuters. Even a Super fast train traveling at 100Km/hr average speed would have ensured the chennai - bangalore (330 kms) to be covered in 3.5 hrs and also the chennai - delhi (2200 kms) in 22 hours. Yet our railways have not even able to achieved say even 100 anywhere in their speedometer when there isnt much population along the railway line. The wondering how it could be when construction of such lanes and over head bridges. Already Indian railways are having headaches of cases of railway accidents and mishaps. Then whats the need for the question of 300km /hr story coming in ?? Semi high speed train with 200 Km/hr avg. speed is more realistic in our present railway conditions. Let the current trains run in time and with safety for women during night times. When Our national carrier Air India needs a major financial support and all sorts of funding to stabilize it back on track with the help of Govt and public the govt why there is a need to allow bullet trains to fly across the rising populating indian geographical sphere ? wouldnt it be good for allowing these bullet train lovers to catch Aircraft and reach the main points and further the trains or buses or other modes of travel to reach their destination
