Bumped into a young lady whos coming 6 today at Bch. A young lady we met on our stay at Bch.. She had been in the same kind of accident jack had..she had been at Bch a few months before us... I was told not to compare jack to this young lady even though they both had a brain injury they werent the same. For many reasons the outcomes would be different.. To explain it would be difficult and at first couldnt understand it myself I mean they both got run over.. Both got severe brain damage.. But the outcomes were massively different. Meeting this young lady again today was lovely but at same time shows how unlucky but lucky our kids have been. Where as jack can walk, she cannot.. Where as she can talk, jack cannot... Jack has hyper mobility, (more range in joint movement making it harder to control and more work... This little girl has stiff joints from her brain injury which need Botox injections. The little girl went to rehab in surrey for 7 months which to was an option for jack.. We chose home therapies with the guidance of community professionals. Im so glad I did... We are lucky in the respect our children survived with quality but unlucky that we ever had to fight the battle to start with... I wake each morning and take a deep breath as I take that breath I take a moment to appreciate that again to day We live...
