Bundy used clarinet. $60 cash obo. This is a great beginner to intermediate resonite clarinet. A real workhorse that can be used through middle and high school band or for marching band. It has a nice bright, broad sound unlike a lot of the newer clarinets that are manufactured at lower quality from cheaper plastic. It is fully functional as is for practice or beginner, but if you take it in for a tune up and new pads (about $20-40) you will have a clarinet that can be passed on to your grandchildren. This clarinet is the equivalent of a very dependable, well-running, used car that has tires at half-tread. (You can always get new tires, but you cant always buy something that performs well and is solid.) Why pay $200-500 for a new beginner clarinet from music dealers who pressure you to buy new for your incoming band student? Why buy a dusty old clarinet from a pawnbroker who doesnt play the thing and cant tell you whats wrong with it? This clarinet still has plenty of potential, and i enjoyed playing it for jazz band and outdoor performances. Id rather see it go to a young student than just sit around lonely and unused. If your child turns out to be a clarinet prodigy then take the $400 you saved and apply it toward the purchase of a higher-end wooden clarinet--then resale this to a beginner or pass it on to a sister/brother/cousin/neighbor. Multi-generational clarinet! Eddyville--will meet in town at mutual convenience. Reply if you want it.
