Bunmi Adedoyin write The Kwara State Executive Council has been dissolved with immediate effect. The dissolution followed the Executive Council meeting Presided over by Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed at the Council Chamber of the Government House, Ilorin. Briefing newsmen, the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Isiaka Gold said those affected include all Commissioners, all Special Advisers and Assistants, and Senior Special Assistants respectively. All Commissioners are however directed to handover to their respective Permanent Secretary. In the meantime, Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed expressed appreciation to members of the dissolved cabinet for their services to the state and wished them success in their future endeavours. Governor Ahmed also implored them to continue to give his administration the needed support to achieve the best for the state. Responding on behalf of other cabinet members, the former Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Alhaji Saka Onimago thanked the Governor for given them the opportunity to serve and pledged their allegiance to the state government
