Bunnings Sausage Sizzles and Hunting Clubs. I remember recently an article from a little while ago regarding Bunnings not allowing hunting clubs to participate in sausage sizzles. The original article was was the subject of follow on article where it got a bit confusing as to what Bunnings will and wont allow. So I sent off an enquiry and waited. I just got off the phone from a representatives of Bunnings and this is the situation as I was informed: In 2012 the business decided that clubs that targeted live animals, excluding fishing clubs, will not be able to participate in the sausage sizzles. There are also no plans to review this decision. There you have it. I appreciate on one level that Bunnings / Wesfarmers as a business are entitled to make these decisions but at the same time, it is patently unfair that a hunting club cannot participate, whereas a fishing club can. They are both legitimate and legal past times and both target live animals. It is this sort of attitude that caused me to join the SFP. We have a long way to go but the journey has to start somewhere. 99 Days to go.
